A power router is a device capable of facilitating multiple energy flows and actively controlling power flow. It ensures power quality while flexibly managing both internal areas of regional grids and the entire distribution network. Integrating power energy routers with information technology enables communication and intelligent decision-making capabilities. Power energy routers can actively manage energy flow within the power network based on network operational status and directives from users and control centers.
The power energy router integrates communication units, control units, and power units, manifested as multi-port, multi-level, and multi-directional power electronic converters. It consists of fully controllable power electronic switching devices and high-frequency transformers. Its basic functions include:
1. Voltage transformation and electrical isolation.
2. Energy routing.
3. Plug-and-play integration of distributed energy resources and energy storage units.
The MEOX Energy Router Container achieves efficient utilization of distributed energy resources and coordinated control of multiple interface units through coordinated control. The multi-port flexible converters for AC and DC can be connected to corresponding devices, enabling control of power flow between ports.
The control system of the energy router consists of converter-level control and system-level control. The control methods at the converter level vary depending on the type of connected energy source, converter type, and control objectives. System-level control centrally manages all connected energy sources and load converters within the system, enabling comprehensive control of energy management and operational goals.
The monitoring software platform of the energy router has the following functionalities:
1. Monitoring and display: It displays information such as port voltage, power, and the load of the energy router.
2. Control: It enables issuing commands to the energy router through an upper computer platform.
3. Energy router management: It controls charging during peak and off-peak periods.
